When we moved to Grand Island in 2005, we initially lived in an apartment complex. Our kids were small at the time and a kind gentleman named Gene used to be the security guard at the apartments. Every night, Gene rode his security car with his wife Collette, and made sure everyone was safe in the apartments.

Gene watched over our kids during those years and we were incredibly thankful. Some years ago, Gene retired and moved to Michigan but always kept in touch with us through our social media posts. A few weeks ago, Gene called and spoke to Seema about having fond memories of chocolates from Kelly’s Country Store, an iconic neighborhood business in Grand Island that is famous for their sweet confections. Gene asked if we at the Island Ship Center would purchase some chocolates for him and ship them to him in MIchigan, in time for Easter.

Seema was very happy to oblige; she mentioned it to Fahim, who then convinced Anthony to come along with him so they could film the entire event. Since the two were already going to Kelly’s to buy chocolate for Gene, it only seemed proper that they purchase some treats for the entire team.

So, that’s what happened. And as much as Fahim tried to stay on his sugar free diet, he also managed to cheat in the car by having one piece of fudge. This video encapsulates the journey from beginning to end and demonstrates how much we truly aspire to inspire and make memories for our guests.

Gene received the chocolates and a gift mug from us and was very thankful. They in turn were very grateful that they got an opportunity to return a bit of the favor to Gene for watching over their kids, when they were young. Thank you for allowing us to be of service, making the mundane extraordinary and creating memorable experiences along the way. Thank you for joining us on this journey as well. With incessant gratitude and a willingness to serve,

Fahim & Seema Mojawalla, Co-Owners
