Seema Mojawalla

As President and Co-Owner of Island Ship Center, Seema captains a tight but very happy and efficient ship. She has also raised, alongside her business partner, husband, and best friend, Fahim, five outstanding children, and being a mother and friend to them remains her primary joy and the focus and drive for which she works very hard every day.

Seema is also the Business & Leadership Coach for AYM High Consultants, and when the AYM High team needs a new idea, an out-of-the-box revelation, or a reality check, they turn to her. She has a unique viewpoint that is always fresh, forward-thinking, and focused, an eye for merchandising, and a passion for finding the perfect products to sell.

The oldest of five girls, Seema was born and raised in Mercer County, Pennsylvania. She completed her education abroad in foreign language and worked full-time as a stay-at-home parent until joining her husband Fahim at Island Ship Center in 2013, eventually taking over as President of the company. Seema is also the founder and head maker at Seema’s Naturals, an exclusive line of natural, handmade body care products.

Seema consistently, year after year, increases sales at her businesses through her merchandising and sourcing skills, new profit center acumen, ability to build a winning team, and talent for finding diverse, unique individuals who complement each other to provide the best guest service possible—all while keeping a strong focus on the bottom line. She has overseen many new business development and expansion projects, including the addition of heavy palletized freight packing and shipping, the building of a warehouse to accommodate such jobs, a beautiful dedicated mailbox and business center, a state-of-the-art print room with all the advanced equipment you’d imagine, and a full remodel and rebranding of the business to reflect a new mission and updated goals—to become the “Spa of Shipping.”

Seema is also the backbone behind the MoJo Motivation™ podcast, co-hosted by her husband Fahim and their dear friend, colleague, and mutual mentor, Marty Johnson. Seema was nominated to serve on the national board of directors for the non-profit Association of Mail & Business Centers (AMBC) and did so as Director of Innovation from 2016 to 2020. In 2018, The Zonta Club awarded her its Yellow Rose Award for “Outstanding Leadership & Service to the Community.”

Over the years, Seema has written and co-written numerous articles published in MBC Today, the leading publication for the retail shipping, printing, mail, and business center industry, as well as on business blogs and websites including co-authoring articles as a “Shipping and Logistics Expert” on wikiHow. Island Ship Center is currently featured as one of the top three FedEx Authorized ShipCenters® in the country (out of 4,600 locations) as a FedEx Spotlight Store and also has the tremendous honor of being a PRINTING United spotlight store. Additionally, Seema frequently travels with her colleagues at AYM High Consultants to various parts of the country to help businesses—both large and small—reach their full potential. Working with other business owners remains incredibly rewarding.

If Seema has any ultimate goal in business relationships, family bonds, and friendships, it’s that those she interacts with are lifted up and given every opportunity to be their best.
