Celebrating The Marshall House

If you live on or near Grand Island, surely you’re familiar with The Marshall House—that gorgeous 1913 grand residence that has been lovingly restored and now operates as a bed and breakfast and event space.
Did you know that, at Island Ship Center (ISC), we had the incredible privilege and honor of helping with the preservation and creation of precious Marshall family documents, photos, and mementos that are now featured in the museum of this beautiful home?
On May 29th of this year, Preservation Buffalo Niagara (PBN) bestowed the incredible honor to The Marshall House and its current stewards, Cherrish and Matt Beals (phenomenal humans and dear friends of us here at ISC), the 2025 Preservation Award.
Please read a wonderful article about The Marshall House and the award presented to it and the Beals here.
Cherrish recently stated, “It takes a village and I’m so grateful to be part of Fahim and Seema’s! I think the most impressive part of what they accomplished was the timeframe they did it in. I believe I first approached them in early Apr of 2022 about helping to curate all the incredible memorabilia that the family had so generously donated and it was done and ready for the Grand Opening on May 30, 2022.”
Congratulations, Cherrish and Matt! Thank you immensely for your trust in us to help with this project. It was our honor and privilege.
Please make your plans to explore The Marshall House today…and make sure to enjoy the museum on-site while you’re there.
